White teeth

Not so pearly white

October 22, 2012

Here a question from one of my FRESH FACED DIVA's

Q: Why do my teeth look so dingy, How do I get them back white???

A: Well honey, that cup of coffee, tea, soda and red wine that you may love to drink could be the culprit. Oh and smoking is your teeth worst nightmare!

Along with your twice-a-year dental visits, you can brighten your teeth several shades with a whitening toothpaste that contains carbamide peroxide, but I suggest you use it only once a day to avoid drying out gum tissue. Rembrandt Plus with Peroxide toothpaste is highly recommended.

Baking Soda is one of my favorite less expensive solutions for bringing your teeth back to light.
I have already blogged about this so if you want to know more on how and why baking Soda works click here ---------->  Baking Soda

As always, I hope this helps!

California Baby

October 08, 2012

Today my beauty blog is going to be dedicated to all the Little cutie pies of the world...yup BABIES!! When it comes to our precious little people, us Mommies want nothing but the best products soothing and moisturizing their skin and much more.

Just recently, I've found out about California Baby, and honey I had to tell ya all about it. The business concept was first born in the early 90′s when founder Jessica Iclisoy wanted to find a safe and sustainable alternative to mainstream baby bath products. She started experimenting with organic herbs and plants, essential oils and powders to create various cleansing potions. By 1995 she introduced her first hit product, Calming Shampoo and Bodywash.

California Baby Shampoo and Bodywash gently and effectively cleans hair, face and body using 100% natural and organic cleansing ingredients such as organic soap bark, wild harvested yucca and super gentle glucosides that all come from renewable and sustainable vegan sources. These all-natural vegetable cleansers are non-stripping, sulfate-free, synthetic fragrance free, naturally low foaming and readily biodegradable (that’s the term for extremely and completely biodegradable). California Baby’s gentle natural Shampoo and Bodywashes are ultra-concentrated, long-lasting, allergy-tested, tear free, non-drying and leave skin soft and supple and hair shiny and manageable. Formulated for sensitive skin and perfect for the whole family, pick up any of the five California Baby all natural Shampoo and Bodywash blends for happy and healthy cleansing.

So if you are into using complete ORGANIC and pure products this is it!!! As always I hope this helps! Oh and you can get these great products from your local Ulta

What's in MONI's MakeUp Bag???

October 03, 2012

As you may know I am a Freelance MakeUp Artist so of coarse I have a TON of MakeUp sad to say. However, I've been asked sooo many times what's my favorite must have to carry in my little personal MakeUp Bag so honey I'm gonna tell ya!!

Urban Decay Stardust Sparkling Lip Gloss: Absolutely love this gloss. It glides perfectly over my lipstick and the tiny glitter specs amps my plain lips also.
$20 - Ulta

Victoria's Secret Luminous Mineral Blush Duo... My favorite blush, its so beautiful!
$22- Victoria Secret

Maybelline Dream Matt Mousse: I just got this and I'm not really sure if I like this foundation or not. What I can say is it does give me good coverage and it is lightweight.

Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara: This mascara is currently my FAVORITE! The Big Fatty gives me gorgeous dramatic lashes
$18 - Ulta

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick (Primrose): I always keep this handy just in case Im in need of a natural, soft pink,  creamy look. This colors goes with just about any colored eye shadow
$19 Ulta

Stila waterproof eye liner: As you know I almost ALWAYS rock a Winged eye and sometimes I use this to achieve that look. Gotta keep this handy as eye liner is a MUST!

EOS Lip Balm: This lip balm keep my puckers nice and moisturized. Keeps my lips kissable in which I know my hubby likes!
$3.24 - Ulta

Notice I did not have any eye shadow listed, well that's because I don't ever put eye shadow in my cosmetic bag. I always use a primer before I apply my eye shadow so it last ALL day so no touch ups are ever needed. However if I had no make up these items alone with give me the look I want!

Oily Skin

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate!!!!

October 01, 2012

Here is a QUESTION from one of my FRESH FACED DIVA's ....

Q: "I clean my face every day…DO I REALLY NEED TO EXFOLIATE?"

A: Well, honey first let me start by letting you know that even the best makeup in the world will look like dirt if it's applied on top of skin that is dry, dull, or flaky. Cleaning your face everyday is  fine but we all need to exfoliate every once in a while.  Basically the point of exfoliation is to remove dead skin cells, oil and anything extra that could be clogging your pores.

After exfoliating your face should feel smooth and look healthy. If your skin is red and irritated after exfoliation then honey STOP using whatever you was using. More importantly DO NOT EXFOLIATE EVERY DAY, JUST ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK!!!!!!

Here is 3 MUST have facial cleansers that will surely exfoliate! All three products are great for people with sensitive skin.

This peel has fruit acids that brighten skin, and highly recommended for winter. Apply once a week to oily skin, once every two weeks to dry skin. This product contains glycolic acid, malic acid and lactic acid. Also contains aloe, which soothes and hydrates the skin.

St. Ives Timeless Daily Microdermabrasion $10
This Allure recomended product has fine mineral crystals, chamomile and vitamin E. Oh and its also easy on the pockets

Glycolic Foaming Cleanser $15
This is perfect for dull, congested skin, this lathering, deep cleanser has the exfoliating powers of Glycolic Acid to break down build-up from skins surface, reduce minor discoloration and leave skin radiant and smooth. Oh and did I mention that I love love love this!!!!

Well as always I hope this helps!
