no more DARK circles!

June 27, 2011

Did you accidentally burn your forehead with the curling iron? Do you have Dark circles, blemishes, marks or scars? Honey it ain't no big thing....just CONCEAL it!

In my opinion a good concealer should have the consistency of lipstick (thick and creamy) WHY? Well it will adhere to the skin and won't move once you add liquid foundation over top. Giving your look more staying power! But you really need concealer? if your blemishes/ dark circles are NOT that dark a really good foundation can do the trick. I'll let you be the judge of that

If you are going to apply concealer and foundation make sure your concealer is one shade lighter. If you are going to conceal and have no plans to use foundation over top then your concealer should be true to your color. My favorite concealer is made by Black Opal called the flawless perfecting concealer. It comes in a little tube and rolls out just like lipstick. I love, Love, Love it!!!

Well as always hope this helps...please comment and share your favorite concealer.

Unwanted underARM Hair!!!

June 16, 2011

I don't know about you but shaving my under ARM hairs is no where near one of my favorite things to do....ugh!!! However, as a women it MUST be done. So guess what honey, put your razors down because I have a quick and easy way to get rid of those unwanted under ARM hairs....

I use.....NAIR!!!!
Yes ladies, I said Nair! Turns out Nair not only works amazing for our gorgeous legs but works just as great under my arms. I swear I wish I was doing this sooner.

Its pretty easy just....
1. Squeeze lotion into palm of hand.
2. Smooth on a thick, even layer to cover hair. DO NOT RUB IN. Wash hand immediately after application.
3. Leave lotion on for 3 minutes. Then check a small area for hair removal.
4. Total hair removal depends on hair thickness. If the hair does not come off after 3 minutes, leave the lotion on for a few minutes longer. DO NOT EXCEED 10 MINUTES of total application time.

1. Gently wipe off the lotion and hair with a damp washcloth. Do not rub.
2. Once all hair has been removed, RINSE SKIN THOROUGHLY with lukewarm water in the shower.
3. Pat dry.
4. Keep bottle tightly closed between uses.

Well as always, I hope this helps

Home Remedy

The beauty benifits of CUCUMBER

June 10, 2011

Not only is cucumber yummy and Delicious when I add it in my seafood pasta salad, but did ya know its also a beauty home remedy! Well first of all the most common use for cucumbers is to improve complexion and to rejuvenate the skin. When cucumber is used within a facial mask it has an amazing ability to leave your skin glowing and allow your skin to be much more soft and fabulous looking.

Cucumbers works wonders for those unwanted Dark Circles. Although you may look kinda of crazy with cucumbers on top of your eyes, its really not crazy at all. The abundance of antioxidants and silica within cucumbers can rejuvenate the skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth after just 5 or 10 minutes of use. Which will reduce the appearance of dark circle.

Q: Can cucumbers get rid of the bags under my eyes?

A: Due to the large amount of ascorbic acid in cucumbers, when they are placed under the eyes they can decrease water retention and thus reduce puffiness overall which works instantaneously!

I think freckles is simply adorable, however here is a good way to get rid of them....When grated cucumber is used as a tonic and spread all over the face and neck it can reduce the overall appearance of freckles over time.

Did ya have a little too much fun in the sun, causing a terrible sunburn? Cucumbers can also provide benefits in this regard. The cooling effect of cucumbers is a natural and gentle way to soothe your skin and speed up the healing process.

As always I hope this helps...Please Comment, share or LIKE!

Block that SUN honey!!

June 07, 2011

Alright yall,...IT'S SUMMER, and every weather man I've seen says this is gonna be a very HOT one. Just like Angela Jonsson who graces the Elle India May 2011 cover most of us want to show some skin with our cute shorts, sexy dresses and swimsuits. So, I'm hear to give ya info on SUNSCREEN/SUNBLOCK for all that SKIN we are about to display this summer.

Q:Moni, can too much sun be harmful?

A: Sun rays can harm skin depending on how much time you spend being exposed to them. Excessive exposure to the sun represents one of the major risk factors in the appearance of skin cancer, especially in the case of light-skinned persons and those with a fat rich diet. All the negative effects of the sunlight on the skin are induced by the ultraviolet (UV) light.

The Skin Cancer Foundation reports that Skin cancer is most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 3.5 million skin cancers in over two million people are diagnosed annually.

I say all that to say...Sunblock is a MUST have this summer!

The sunblock that I love is Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF (30-55). Allure,, and to name a few love it too!

Thank goodness the Skin Cancer Foundation gives a recommended seal of approval. Click on this link to see if your current sunblock made the list...

Well as always, I hope this helps and remember to email me if ya need a Make-Up artist cus I can beat face honey lol!
